WHICH LEAGUE IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?
T-Ball
Beginner's league for boys and girls 4-6 years old. Players hit a poly-soft baseball of a "Tee" & have fun while learning the basics. 1 game each Saturday & 1 practice weekly from April - June. Players need their own baseball gloves & everything else is supplied by the league.
Minor League (AAA & AA)
For players 7-11 who are ready to start playing baseball with the hardball. 6-year olds have played T-Ball previously may also sign up for AA. Minor league is an instructional atmosphere with kids learning on the field in real game action. Practices start late March. Minors is split into two divisions, AAA & AA:
- The AAA division is player pitch, & features competitive games being played among the more advanced players in Minors. The AAA division ends the season with playoffs that include every team leading to a championship game.
- The AA division is a coach pitch & follows many of Minors rules, with in-game instruction as needed, no emphasis on score & a 2-hour time-limited game.
When registering your Child for Minors, select "Minor League." Minors players will be evaluated & placed in the appropriate division during team formation.
Major League
*NOTE: All Little League players age 11-13 must try out for Majors*
For players 10-12. To be selected for Majors, players must tryout. Majors is a fun & competitive brand of baseball played at an advanced level. Players play on a larger infield, which allows for leadoffs & stealing. The season culminates in playoffs & a championship game. Practices start late March. Players not chosen in the Majors draft will be assigned to a AAA Minors team automatically.

Gateway Babe Ruth
Assessments to balance teams will be held after registration. Dates and location TBD.
For players 13-16. Teams in the Babe Ruth & Varsity divisions play teams from other Cape towns (Bourne, Sandwich, Wareham, Falmouth, etc) at the Field of Dreams, the JV Field & off-Island. All players are invited regardless of baseball experience or skill level. This is a fun, educational & quality brand of baseball. Players learn many of the subtle skills of baseball while building confidence & improving their skills. Season runs mid-April through June. There will be opportunities to play in a summer league or team as well.
NOTE: All eligible High School players should also play Babe Ruth.
Senior Babe Ruth
For players 16-19 who wish to continue playing post regular Babe Ruth & after the HS Season. This League runs from early June until the 3rd week of July. Tryouts for this team will happen at a date to be determined.
